Capua (CE), Oct. 23, 2025-From weather stations installed in fields to sensors that measure moisture and leaf wetness, to decision support systems for phytosanitary defense of corn: the new partnership between Fattorie Garofalo and xFarm Technologies represents another step toward the future of the buffalo supply chain.
A project that consolidates Fattorie Garofalo's evolutionary vision, geared toward transforming agricultural management into a model based on data, precision and sustainability. Thanks to this collaboration, in the fields cultivated to feed buffaloes every agronomic choice becomes more conscious, allowing to intervene only when needed, reduce waste and optimize the use of natural resources, with positive effects on productivity and theenvironment.
The project involves the complete agroclimatic digitization of Fattorie Garofalo 's seven farms through the xFarm platform and the use of advanced sensor technology. By centrally collecting and analyzing agronomic data, operators will be able to monitor weather and soil conditions in real time, make targeted decisions and minimize the use of water and plant protection products.

In detail, the use of Decision Support Systems (DSS) makes it possible to optimize agronomic management of maize especially in the aspects of irrigation and then harvesting, providing agronomists and farm operators with accurate indications of the best times to intervene. Information from sensors and weather stations is processed by the xFarm platform, turning into hard data and informed decisions that improve agronomic performance and make agricultural production more sustainable.
The project, which began in September 2024, saw an initial digital training and configuration phase, followed bysensor installation andoperational startup in spring 2025. Today Fattorie Garofalo can synergistically manage all of its farms, confirming once again how innovation, sustainability and quality can coexist in a single path of responsible growth.
