September 15, 2026, Lugano - xFarm Technologies, a global tech leader driving the digital transformation of the agri-food sector, today announced a major step forward in its international expansion journey. The company is joining forces with Sibium Analytics, a premier Brazilian agricultural technology provider specializing in geospatial and business intelligence, ESG compliance, and planning for the sugarcane production and processing industries.
This strategic move marks xFarm Technologies’ 6th transaction globally and its 2nd in Brazil within the last year, following its milestone integration with Checkplant, solidifying its role as a premier global consolidator of digital farming solutions. The operation was made possible thanks to the support of existing and new investors, including a new partnership with BlackRock.
xFarm Technologies expands its footprint now offering its solutions to one of Latin America’s most strategic agricultural value chains: sugarcane and bioenergy. By combining on-field Decision Support Systems, IoT hardware, remote sensing, and supply chain analytics, xFarm Technologies cements its status as the only unified, global agricultural intelligence platform, capable of supporting row crops, tree crops, sugarcane, and agro-industrial supply chains end-to-end.
Brazil is an undisputed global agricultural powerhouse, ranking #1 worldwide in soybean, sugarcane, and coffee production. With 75 to 80 million hectares under cultivation, agribusiness represents over a quarter of Brazil's GDP and serves as a pillar of the global food and energy supply.
Sugarcane sits at the heart of this ecosystem, acting as a cornerstone for Brazil's low-carbon economy. Producing roughly 36.8 billion liters of ethanol annually alongside 21,218 GWh of bioelectricity, the sector seamlessly integrates agriculture, industrial processing, and renewable energy.
Through this operation, xFarm Technologies brings Sibium Analytics’ 8 million tracked hectares into its ecosystem. Together with Sibium Analytics’ existing presence, xFarm Technologies now covers a massive footprint across Brazil’s primary crops including corn, soy, cotton, coffee, citrus, grapes, and now sugarcane.
“Our vision has always been to support farmers and ag-innovators with world class data-driven decision making across entire agricultural value chains” said Matteo Vanotti, CEO of xFarm Technologies. “Following our successful integration with Checkplant, this operation represents another massive leap in our growth trajectory. By bringing Sibium Analytics’ deep geospatial intelligence and ESG audit capabilities into our group and introducing our existing offering to sugarcane producers, we are creating an unprecedented, data-driven platform for farmers and processors alike”
The integration creates immediate, mutual value for existing customers of both companies, maintaining complete operational continuity while unlocking powerful new capabilities.
Starting today, Sibium clients - typically sugarcane mills and biofuel processors - gain direct access to xFarm Technologies’ proprietary IoT ecosystem, including hyper-local weather stations, field sensors, and AI-powered Decision Support Systems (DSS), thus enhancing operational planning, field visibility, and supply chain forecasting.
xFarm Technologies’ clients can now tap into Sibium’s advanced remote-sensing platform (Sigma Digital) and audit-ready ESG/traceability solution (Ambium Digital). These services will be extended to all the crops covered by xFarm Technologies, accelerating sustainability certifications and risk monitoring across Latin America. Enterprise partners from the food, finance and insurance sectors gain a single, transparent, and auditable data provider across multi-crop global supply chains.
“Joining the xFarm Technologies group is a natural evolution for Sibium Analytics,”said Ronaldo Marani, Director of Sibium Analytics. “We will be able to deliver even greater value to our customers and expand our solutions to new crops. Together, we are broadening the possibilities for using data and technology to support more efficient decision-making in agribusiness. Together, we are setting a new standard for intelligence in agribusiness.” he affirms .
With a global footprint now supporting over 600,000 farms across 24 million total hectares, xFarm Technologies continues to prove that rapid international scaling and deep local agronomic expertise can go hand in hand to solve the biggest challenges faced by modern agriculture. Backed by leading international venture capital investors such as Partech, Mouro Capital, United Ventures and more, xFarm raised €36M in a Series C round in October of 2024.
